Our monthly Community Nights are events designed to showcase partnerships that support youth development through educational, social, and recreational activities. These gatherings provide a platform for community members, organizations, and youth to connect, share resources, and celebrate achievements. Community Nights strengthen support systems that empower young people to thrive.

We’re excited to welcome Skate Camp Midwest to GBASO for our next Community Night! They’ll be presenting information about their summer camp experience and have hands-on activities such as grip tape art and Kendama challenges. (A Kendama is a traditional Japanese skill toy.) Skate Camp Midwest coaches will also be helping out with skateboard instruction for new riders.
4-6pm Open riding with instruction for new riders (all ages)
5:30pm Snacks, desserts, and beverages
6-7pm Skate Camp Midwest Showcase
6-8pm Open riding (all ages)
8-10pm Open riding (ages 14+)
Suggested $5 donation to attend.
Skate Camp Midwest is part epic skateboarding, part classic overnight camp, and part family reunion. Campers spend their days skating, canoeing, swimming, making music, creating art, and hanging out in nature with new and old friends year after year.
